Job Description
This position provides comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. This role requires excellent clinical skills, compassionate patient interaction, and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team. Nursing ensures that patients receive high-quality care in accordance with established medical standards and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and medical diagnoses.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing protocols.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
- Document and report changes in patient conditions to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare team members, and family members to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and post-care instructions.
- Advocate for patient rights and ensure their needs and preferences are considered in the care plan.
- Address and resolve patient concerns or issues related to their care or treatment.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including cardiac arrest, trauma, or other acute conditions.
- Perform life-saving procedures and provide first aid or advanced care as required.
- Adhere to infection control procedures and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infections and ensure a safe environment.
- Follow guidelines for the handling, storage, and disposal of medications and medical supplies.
- Stay current with advancements in nursing practices, medical technology, and healthcare regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training, certification programs, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist in the management of nursing supplies and equipment.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and adherence to healthcare standards and policies.
SKills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience required.
- Strong clinical and technical skills relevant to the nursing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
