Job Description
- The CCTV Camera Operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and assets. This role involves operating CCTV cameras, reviewing footage, identifying suspicious activities, and reporting incidents in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor all surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to detect and prevent any security breaches, thefts, or other unlawful activities.
- Continuously observe footage from multiple cameras to ensure the safety of the premises and people.
- Identify any unusual or suspicious activity and escalate the situation to the relevant authorities or security personnel.
- Record and report any security breaches, incidents, or unsafe conditions to the security supervisor or appropriate department.
- Document details of incidents, including time, date, location, and nature of the event.
- Provide visual footage and data as required for investigations.
- Review recorded footage when required for incident investigations or as per requests from management.
- Maintain records and logs of all camera activity, including daily reports and any recorded incidents.
- Archive and store surveillance footage systematically for future reference.
- Ensure all CCTV equipment and systems are functioning properly at all times.
- Regularly check cameras, recording devices, and other surveillance equipment for any malfunctions or issues.
- Report technical problems to the appropriate personnel for repairs or adjustments.
- Communicate and coordinate with on-site security personnel or law enforcement in case of security alerts or emergencies.
- Assist in responding to security incidents by directing personnel to specific locations based on CCTV footage.
- Adhere to legal and company policies regarding privacy and data protection when handling surveillance footage.
- Ensure all surveillance activities comply with company policies and local security regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all surveillance operations and footage.
- Monitor live footage during emergency situations and provide real-time information to security personnel or emergency responders.
- Help in identifying potential hazards or threats during emergencies (e.g., fire, theft, vandalism) and assist in taking preventive measures.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience required.
- 3 years of graduation degree or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a CCTV operator or in a related security role is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic security protocols.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations regarding privacy, surveillance, and security.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused for extended periods.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to stay alert during surveillance tasks.
