The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations on the job site to ensure that construction or renovation projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and timelines. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of construction practices and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage construction or renovation activities on-site to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project execution.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Promote a culture of safety and provide training or guidance to workers on safe practices.
Lead and supervise on-site staff, including contractors, laborers, and subcontractors.
Assign tasks and responsibilities, and monitor performance to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Resolve any conflicts or issues that arise among team members or with other stakeholders.
Ensure that all materials, equipment, and resources are available and used efficiently on-site.
Coordinate with project managers and other departments to align on project requirements, schedules, and changes.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Inspect work performed to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
Identify and address any deficiencies or defects in workmanship or materials.
Implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Prepare and maintain daily reports on project progress, safety incidents, and other relevant information.
Document any changes to the scope of work or project specifications and communicate these changes to the relevant parties.
Provide regular updates to project managers and other stakeholders on project status and any issues.
Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Obtain necessary permits and approvals for on-site work as required.
Address and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during the course of the project.
Make decisions and take corrective actions to keep the project on track and within budget.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience required.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of construction practices, safety regulations, and building codes.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
